ICC has banned English Cricketer Moeen Ali from wearing pro-Palestine wristbands during the ongoing England-India Cricket series in England. Moeen Ali wore the wristbands with slogans “Save Gaza” and “Free Palestine” on Second Day of the Test match. But the gesture proved costly for the English batsman as International Cricket Council has banned him from wearing the wristbands after criticism by international media. While the international community remained quiet on Israeli barbarity in Palestine, it has come down heavily on Moeen Ali for raising his voice in favor of the Palestinians. However, England and Wales Cricket Board has supported Moeen Ali’s stance saying that his stance was ‘humanitarian not political’.
